Office of Service Learning

At Georgian Court University, service learning is rooted in community based education. Integrating scholarship with service within local and/or global communities, service learning connects students and faculty with community partners to strengthen and extend both teaching and learning.

By integrating service projects with classroom learning, service-learning offers you a unique opportunity to get involved with your community in a tangible way. Service-learning engages you in the educational process, using what you learn in the classroom to solve real-life problems.

While learning about democracy and citizenship, you work with others in your school and community to create service projects in areas like education, public safety, and the environment.
