Psychology

Psychology Club:

The Psychology Club, open to all students interested in psychology, hosts discussion groups, speakers, trips, and social functions.

Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology):

Psi Chi is open to psychology majors and minors who have completed at least 12 credits in Psychology, and who are registered for at least 6 more credits, who have a 3.5 overall average and a 3.6 average in the psychology major courses.

Graduate Students are also eligible to join Psi Chi. Graduate students must have completed at least 12 credits in Psychology, 3.5 overall GPA, and have received no grade lower than a "B" in any course.

Psi Chi sponsers trips, speakers, social events, and an annual research project. The faculty sponsers of Psi Chi are Dr. Mancuso and Dr. Field.

Psi Chi Application Process:

The Spring 2012 application deadline is February 15, 2012

  • Applications are available on the bulletin board outside the psychology department main office
  • If you are listing courses from another university on your application please attach an unofficial transcript
  • Do not submit any membership dues until you are informed of your acceptance status
  • Applications should be submitted to the department secretary, Maureen Kotusky
  • All applications will be reviewed by Dr. Mancuso or Dr. Field
  • Students will be notified by the end of December 2011 or the end of February 2012
  • The Psi Chi induction ceremony is usually at 7:00 p.m. on the third Friday in April
