Trientalis borealis
Star-flower
Primulaceae. 15cm.

Long, narrow leaves are in a single whorl of 5-10.  The white, star-shaped flowers have 5-9 pointed petals and are borne above the leaves, usually in pairs. Flowers in late spring.  Found in moist woods. Photographed at Lake Carasaljo Municipal Park.
