Large shrub with narrow or elliptic leaves that are shiny above and finely-toothed.  Small white flowers appear in late spring.   The red fruit matures in late summer and persists into the winter.  Found along streams and in moist soils.  Photographed at Lake Carasaljo Municipal Park.
