Aronia arbutifolia
Red Chokeberry
Rosaceae. 3m.

Shrub with finely toothed leaves that have a smooth upper surface and a hairy under surface.  Twigs are also hairy. White five-petaled flowers appear in clusters in early spring.  Fruits are bright red and mature in autumn. Common in moist woods. Photographed at Lake Carasaljo Municipal Park.
