Shrub with egg-shaped-elliptical leaves. Small, white spherical-shaped flowers are borne in early summer, in hanging clusters on older branches that often lack leaves. Fruits are dry and face upward. Common in wet woods. Photographed at Lake Carasaljo Municipal Park.
