Aronia melanocarpa
Black Chokeberry
Rosaceae. 3m.

Similar to Aronia arbutifolia, except the twigs and finely toothed leaves are hairless.  White five-petaled flowers appear in clusters in early spring.  Fruits are black and mature in late summer or autumn. Common in moist woods. Photographed at Lake Carasaljo Municipal Park.
