Vaccinium corymbosum
Highbush Blueberry
Ericaceae. 2m.

Ancestor of cultivated blueberry. Elliptical leaves do not have resin dots underneath (huckleberries, genus Gaylussacia, have resin dots). Young twigs are often bright red. White or pinkish clusters of bell-shaped flowers appear in May. Fruit is blue with a whitish coating (bloom). Particularly common in moist or wet soils.
