2013 New Student Orientation Fall Schedule (subject to change)
Day One	Thursday, August 22nd
9:00 AM - 1:30 PM	Move-in/Check-in (All residents) check your letters from residence life to determine your check-in time or call the Residence Life Office at 732.987.2537.
11:00 AM - 1:30 PM	Staggered BBQ Lunch under the tent – Italian Gardens
12:00 - 1:30 PM	Transfers and Commuters check in at the Wellness Center/Lunch
Parents and students who arrive and check-in early may have lunch under the tent Commuter/Transfer Parent Check-In (Science Wing of the Arts & Science Bldg.)
2:00 - 2:30 PM	Introductions and Welcome in the University in the Wellness Center
2:45 - 3:30 PM	Parent Panel (Current & Past parents of GCU students) in the Casino
2:45 - 4:00 PM	FRESHMEN MEETING (Residents & Commuters); Wellness Center TRANSFER MEETING (Residents & Commuters); Lions Den
4:00 - 5:00 PM	GCU Inside Edition - Student Panel (Freshmen in Casino; Transfers in Lions Den)
3:45 - 5:15 PM	Parent Sessions
5:15 - 6:30 PM	Alumni/New Student Dinner under Tent (Freshmen & Transfers) Parent Reception located in the North Dining Room - (Hosted by the President and Provost)
6:45 PM	Students and Parents Farewell, Under the Tent
8:00 PM	Evening Activities w/ OLs (ALL NEW STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE)
Day Two	Friday, August 23rd
8:00 - 9:00 AM	Breakfast
9:00 - 10:00 AM	Meeting with Department/Major Chairs (Freshmen & Transfers)
10:00 - 11:00 AM	Freshman Students meet with First Year Seminar Instructors Transfer Students meet with Transfer Seminar Instructors
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM	Group pictures with FYS & Transfer sections (The Apollo Fountain)
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM	Lunch with First Year Instructors (Under the tent) Lunch with Transfer Seminar Instructors (Dining Hall)
1:00 - 4:00 PM	Student Sessions
4:00 - 5:00 PM	Closing Ceremony
5:15 - 6:00 PM	Laptop Rollout (FIRST TIME FULLTIME FRESHMEN ONLY)
6:15 - 7:15 PM	Honors Program w/ Dr. Susan O’Hara (Casino Ballroom)
Day Three	Saturday, August 24th
