From Adam to David: GCU’s Friday Dinner Series Offers Lecture on Michelangelo

Lakewood, N.J., Aug. 31, 2011—On Friday, September 23, join Lisa Festa, Ph.D., GCU associate professor of art history, as she presents a multimedia lecture about famed Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo (1475–1564). Enjoy traditional music paired with a multicourse Italian dinner, followed by Dr. Festa’s lecture. This event will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the North Dining Room on the Lakewood campus.

Information Session Offered at GCU at Woodbridge on 9-15

“Ginger Rogers” Dances Her Way to Mrs. Gould’s Mansion at GCU for Tea

Lakewood, N.J., Aug. 30, 2011— Join “Edith Kingdon Gould,” wife of George Jay Gould, original owner of the Georgian Court estate, for a tea luncheon with one of the most famous dancers in film history—“Ginger Rogers.” This unique interactive theatrical performance and elegant tea party, which brings to life figures from the past, is produced by St. George Productions of Medford, New York, as part of Georgian Court University’s “Biographies from The Court” series.

GCU Offers Information Sessions for Incoming Transfer Students

Lakewood, N.J., Aug. 30, 2011— On Tuesday, September 13, Georgian Court University invites transfer students to attend a free Undergraduate Transfer Information Session to learn about the transfer admissions process. This session will include information regarding scholarships, financial aid, and the transcript evaluation process. Reservations are required and will be confirmed. The session will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Lake House on the Lakewood campus.
