Georgian Court Offers Community Flu Clinic
Lakewood, N.J., Sept. 26, 2011—Tired of coughing and sneezing your way through winter? The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the three influenza viruses that research suggests will be most common. Make it a point to get a flu vaccine shot every year, which is the best way to prevent the flu, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Georgian Court University’s Office of Health Services is holding a Flu Clinic on Wednesday, October 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in front of the Casino Building on GCU’s Lakewood campus.
Flu vaccine shots, which the CDC recommends annually from everyone ages 6 months and older, will be available for $20; Medicare, Medicaid, and some insurances will be accepted. For more information, please call the GCU Office of Health Services at 732.987.2756.
