GCU Offers Federal Jobs Career Fair

Lakewood, N.J., Apr. 14, 2010—Students, alumni, and community members are invited to join Georgian Court University for a Federal Jobs Career Fair on Friday, April 16, on the Lakewood campus. The fair will begin with a “Find and Apply” presentation by Kate Moore, GCU career counselor, at 9:00 a.m. in the Little Theatre. Ms. Moore will discuss techniques to find and apply for government jobs as well as finding the specific procedures and information necessary to complete an application.

After the presentation, participants can attend the Career Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the North Dining Room, where representatives from several federal entities will be on hand to discuss job opportunities. Represented agencies scheduled to appear include the Federal Air Marshal Service, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Social Security Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Census Bureau, and Federal Bureau of Prisons. The GCU Office of Career Development will also be on hand to review résumés.
