GCU Hosts 15th Annual Golf Classic Fund-Raiser
Lakewood, N.J., Apr. 12, 2010—Georgian Court University will host its 15th annual Golf Classic on Monday, April 26, at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale, New Jersey. All proceeds from the Golf Classic will be used to benefit the students of Georgian Court University.
The day begins with registration at 10:00 a.m., followed by a barbecue brunch at 10:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:00 noon. Format of play will be a modified scramble, and participants will be awarded golf prizes for the closest-to-the-pin on designated par 3 hole, men’s and women’s longest drives; and more. Afterward, join other players for an open-bar cocktail reception, silent auction, and awards dinner. Participants can also enter a 50/50 raffle to win up to $10,000 with only 400 tickets available; tickets are $50 each.
Sponsorships start at $300. The cost for a foursome, which includes greens fees, brunch, golf cart use, cocktail reception, and gourmet buffet dinner, is $1,900. The cost for an individual golfer is $500.
Georgian Court University will only allow 36 foursomes for this outing, so reservations are required to participate. Reserve early to ensure your spot! ABOUT THE COURSE
The Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club is a highly-ranked practice facility which features a full driving range with multiple target greens, a 75-yard short game practice area including bunkers, fairway and rough, multiple putting greens, and a private teaching area.
Eagle Oaks has played host for many prestigious golf tournaments, including the U.S. Open Local Qualifying Tournament in 2001 and 2004, the 1991 New Jersey PGA Championship, the 1992 New Jersey State Amateur Championship, and most recently, the NJ State Mid Amateur Championship.
