Get Creative at Georgian Court’s Writing and Drawing Workshop
Session Connects Different Kinds of Personal Expression
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 30, 2010—Creative types can say goodbye to writer’s block and blank canvases by rethinking how they express personal experiences and explore ways to integrate art forms. And that’s only part of what attendees will take from “Drawing from the Heart: Writing from Your Drawing,” a Georgian Court University program slated for 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, in the Casino Ballroom on GCU’s Lakewood campus.
The session will be led by GCU Professor of Art Geraldine Velasquez, Ed.D., whose doctoral work focused on the connections between varied means of personal creative expression. Attendees will use meditation and guided imagery to express their personal experiences and inner vision through an integration of the art forms. Art making and writing will become lifelong, joyous activities as you learn to explore your creative, individual abilities.
The cost is $25 per person for the class and includes all materials. Advanced registration is required as space is limited. To register contact GCU’s Office of Conferences and Special Events at 732.987.2263 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
