Good Oils, Fatty Acids Focus of Health Talk at GCU
Lakewood, N.J., Oct. 2, 2009—To the uninitiated, talk of good oils and bad oils, Omega-6 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fats might sound like a foreign language. But for naturopath and health advocate Michael Glynn., N.D., it’s the stuff of everyday conversation.
“The Mighty Oils and Their Role in Diet and Health” is the focus of a special program at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, in the Little Theatre on Georgian Court University’s Lakewood campus.
Dr. Glynn, who hosts “Food for Thought” on radio stations in the tri-state area and San Francisco, will present information to help audiences learn their way around the language of healthy oils. Participants also will hear about the importance of good fat and its role in the body’s essential functions.
The program is part of “A Healthier You on the Horizon,” a new series of informative and interactive programs hosted by the McAuley Community Center at GCU. Reservations are required, and the cost is $15 per person. To register, contact GCU’s Office of Conferences and Special Events at 732.987.2263 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
