Georgian Court University and Ocean County College Enter into Dual Degree Transfer Agreement
OCC students can now transfer seamlessly into GCU’s B.S. in Exercise Science, Wellness, and Sports degree program
Lakewood, N.J., Feb. 2, 2009—Georgian Court University and Ocean County College have recently entered into a dual degree transfer agreement for Georgian Court’s B.S. in Exercise Science, Wellness, and Sports degree program. This agreement will assist students who wish to transfer to GCU’s program after having successfully completed one of OCC’s associate degree programs: an A.S. in General Studies, option in Health & Physical Education, or an A.A. in Liberal Arts.
“We are always looking for ways to make the enrollment process as easy as possible for all students, including transfer students,” said Sister Rosemary E. Jeffries, RSM, Ph.D., Georgian Court University president. “This dual degree agreement does just that for OCC students who want to enroll in our B.S. in Exercise Science, Wellness, and Sports degree program.”
The agreement allows for seamless transfer, which means that the student transfers in all credits and has junior standing upon enrollment.
Students at the county college must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 for admission to the GCU B.S. in Exercise Science, Wellness, and Sports degree program and are encouraged to apply at least four months before the semester in which they want to enroll.
For more information, students may call the Georgian Court University Office of Admissions at 732.987.2700 or go to www.georgian.edu.
