GCU’s University College Offers On-Site Management Training Program for Businesses
Information Session for all University College Programs to Be Held May 8
Lakewood, N.J., Apr. 18, 2007—On Tuesday, May 8, Georgian Court University will host an information session on all University College programs, including its new on-site program for business management training. The programs are offered through Georgian Court’s University College, which includes coeducational undergraduate and graduate programs within the university. The information session will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Arts and Science Center on GCU’s Lakewood campus.
Employees of Jersey Central Power & Light are the latest to benefit from GCU’s on-site training program. More than 30 JCP&L employees attended an information session on April 10 in Red Bank to learn about the MBA program offered in partnership with Georgian Court University. The 54-credit program will include evening classes offered at JCP&L’s Red Bank facility, as well as courses on the university’s Lakewood campus and online. Classes are scheduled to begin in September.
“Workforce development is an important element as we seek to offer our employees the tools they need to perform effectively, enhance their skills and take advantage of opportunities for promotion,” said Don Lynch, Region President, Jersey Central Power & Light. “Our employees asked for a program to enable them to pursue an MBA degree, and Georgian Court University has provided us the opportunity to bring a quality program to the workplace. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
“This program has been designed to assist employees in local area businesses with developing their on-the-job management skills as well as achieving the completion of their graduate level college education,” noted Joseph Molitoris, Ph.D., director of University College. “Many adult workers, women and men, completed their undergraduate degrees years ago and are now ready to move up the management chain.” This accredited program gives them the flexibility to achieve the prestigious MBA credential with courses both at JCP&L in Red Bank and at GCU’s Lakewood location.
The May 8 information session will have more information on the business administration program as well as more than 36 of the high school, undergraduate, graduate, teacher education, and business training programs offered by University College and the four schools of Georgian Court. To register for the event or to get more information on any of these programs, please contact University College at 732.987.2132 or email@example.com.
