Exec Camp and College Prep & Writing Camp Debut at Georgian Court
Educational Camps Prepare High Schoolers for College Search & Life and Business World
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 30, 2007—This July, get a jump on your college search and education with one of Georgian Court’s two new camps. Receive an intensive introduction to college-level business education with Exec Camp, or prepare for your college search and writing at the college level with College Prep & Writing Camp.
High school students, do you want to hear “You’re HIRED?” Georgian Court’s Exec Camp offers you a head start on your professional future by teaching you life and business skills. Open to young women and men entering 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, this weeklong day camp will help you prepare for the job market with lessons on everything from professional behavior and dress to electronic marketing and public relations.
You’ll learn management and leadership skills and apply these competencies to a final project of creating, developing, and marketing a product or event. Join GCU faculty in a highly interactive setting to learn all the skills that will help you get hired.
This exciting weeklong day camp will be held on Georgian Court’s Lakewood campus July 15–19 (Sunday–Thursday). The cost is $450 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and field trip fees.
College Prep & Writing Camp is three days of intensive college preparation along with fun and recreation on one of New Jersey’s most beautiful college campuses. Open to young women entering 10th and 11th grades, GCU’s residential College Prep & Writing Camp will offer stress reduction tips for tests and life, preparation for critical reading for the SATs and college-level writing, and guidance about the college search process and the transition to college. You’ll enjoy small classes with GCU faculty and instructors and plenty of opportunities for fresh thinking and creative expression.
GCU’s College Prep & Writing Camp is being offered July 22–25. Arrive and register on Sunday, July 22, and attend classes from Monday, July 23, through Wednesday, July 25, on Georgian Court’s historic Lakewood campus. The cost is $450 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and overnight residence hall accommodations.
