Georgian Court Holds 2012-13 Tuition to 2011 Levels
Lakewood, N.J., Mar. 23, 2012—In a move that acknowledges the difficult economic climate facing students and parents, Georgian Court University trustees recently approved tuition rates for 2012-13, holding student costs to 2011 rates.
"Earning a college degree is an investment that pays enormous dividends, and ensuring that a high-quality, Catholic university education remains accessible is critical," said GCU President Rosemary E. Jeffries, RSM, Ph.D. "Holding tuition costs is one of many approaches we are taking to help our students and their families make the most of that investment."
Full-time GCU undergraduates will pay $13,370 per semester, which is unchanged from last year. Part-time students pay $611 per credit. Graduate tuition, depending on individual programs of study, ranges from $600 to $800 per credit.
"From holding steady on tuition to offering new, market-driven majors, Georgian Court is committed to doing whatever it takes to meet the needs of students," said President Jeffries, noting that although the economy has seen some bright spots in recent months, paying for college remains challenging for many families. At GCU, more than 95% of students receive some form of financial aid or loans to help offset costs.
