12 Months of Blooms

If you love flowers, there is no reason you cannot
have them all year long. This presentation will discuss
growing flowers all 12 months of the year, both indoor
and outdoor. Included in the discussion will be bulbs,
rhizomes, flowering shrubs, perennials, annuals, and
flowering house plants. Selection, care, fertilizing
and pest control will be reviewed. Participants are
encouraged to bring their favorite flower photographs to
share and discuss.

Introduction to Turning Memories
into Memoirs
Instructors: Elaine Turansky and Mary Ann Tobin Kerns of
Eight Women Writers
This two-hour course provides an introduction to
the basics of memoir writing, capturing the stories
of one’s life, and preserving them for loved ones
and future generations. Various techniques will be
introduced, including, but not limited to, writing,
journaling, scrapbooking, photo journaling, and creating
“decorative” memoirs.
