Contains biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images. It includes the full text of articles from more than 100 volumes of biographical reference works published by H.W. Wilson (Current Biography, the World Authors series, Nobel Prize winners,World Artists, World Film Directors, and American Reformers), plus thousands of biographies from other publishers.
This is an excellent database for conducting research in the life sciences, as well as providing resources for those with biomedical research needs. Produced by BIOSIS, Biological Abstracts contains nearly 8 million citations drawn from over 4,000 foreign and domestic journals and grows by over 5% each year.
