Except where indicated, these databases are searchable from any computer on campus with Internet access. Off-campus access, when available, requires a login, using your campus network ID and password. Our license agreement requires that off-campus access to most of the databases be limited to current students, faculty, and staff of Georgian Court University.

Premier source of business information for more than 30 years, this database indexes and abstracts more than 1000 journals in business -- full text articles are available for over 500 publications, including the Wall Street Journal 1984 - present.

Indexes journals covering the social sciences, humanities, education, computer science, ethnic studies and more. Provides full-text articles from more than 3200 scholarly periodicals.

Bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Comprises citations and abstracts to periodical articles, books and dissertations.
Art Abstracts 1984-
Indexes & abstracts journals in art and related fields, with abstracts starting in 1994. This database is more extensive than the art subset in Wilson OmniFile.
ATLAS Religion Database 1949-
Indexes journals and books in religion, theology & biblical studies. Includes some full text articles. Use the Internet Explorer browser for best full text access.
Biological Abstracts
This is an excellent database for conducting research in the life sciences, as well as providing resources for those with biomedical research needs. Produced by BIOSIS, Biological Abstracts contains nearly 8 million citations drawn from over 4,000 foreign and domestic journals and grows by over 5% each year.
Catholic Periodicals Literature Index (CPLI)
Indexes citations to articles published in Roman Catholic periodicals, Papal documents, and books about Catholicism and related issues. No full text.
CINAHL 1982-
Indexes journals in nursing & allied health fields. Also available is Pre-CINAHL A companion database for CINAHL subscribers. Pre-CINAHL provides current awareness of new journal articles.
CQ Researcher (CQ Press)
Offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of today's most important social, economic, political, and environmental issues. Each report is divided into specific sections to guide research. The online database covers reports back to 1991. Each weekly issue provides up-to-date information on controversial subjects written by CQ's staff of experienced reporters. Click on "full report" to see all sections; be sure to read the overview and pro/con sections. Includes a citation generator which creates a citation for use in a works cited list.
Criminal Justice Periodicals Index (Proquest)
Detailed abstracts and indexing for over 190 U.S. and international journals from 1981 to the present. Over 55 journals are full text. Covers alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic and forensic science, and law enforcement.

ProQuest Historical New York Times provides the full image of articles published in the NYT from its first issue in 1851 through 2005. Includes illustrations and advertisements.
For more recent coverage use Lexis-Nexis which includes full text, but without illustrations and advertisements.

Use the "Free Archive" for articles published within the past 7 days, from on and off-campus. Access to the entire archive of articles, from 1989 to the present, is available in the library reference area and requires a password. Please ask the librarian at the reference desk for assistance.

Includes full-page individual stock reports (including income statements) and industry reviews. Use tabs at left to "lookup company" and "lookup industry". Be sure to read the "Industry Commentary".
