For Immediate Release
Lakewood, N.J., Jan. 23, 2008—Georgian Court University senior Corrine M. Stinemire of Manchester, New Jersey, relies on nature and life to inspire her art, which ranges from printmaking, and painting (with watercolor and oils, and on silk) to sculpture and woodcuts. All this will be on display when Georgian Court University’s M. Christina Geis Art Gallery hosts “Art Imitating Life,” Ms. Stinemire’s senior exhibit of multimedia artwork, from Monday, February 4, through Wednesday, February 27.
“My artwork reflects the type of person I am: simple, natural, and realistic,” says Ms. Stinemire, a dual art and education major. “Through my artwork, I believe in imitating the life of the world in all its simplicity.”
The exhibit will kick off with an artist’s reception on Monday, February 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the gallery. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
The M. Christina Geis Art Gallery spotlights works of established and up-and-coming artists in diverse media. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Arts and Science Center on Georgian Court’s Lakewood campus.
