Edmond Salsali is an award-winning digital artist and researcher who has been teaching and working in the multimedia field for many years. Prior to his appointment at Georgian Court University, he taught at several other institutions, with courses in multimedia, animation, 2D and 3D interactivity, game design, Web design, and graphic design. His work has been featured in individual and group exhibitions, competitions, and festivals worldwide. In parallel to his creative activities, he keeps an active agenda in presenting his research at seminars in the US and abroad.
Dr. Salsali holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Tehran, as well as an M.F.A. in Fine Arts and a Ph.D. in Digital Arts from the University of Paris, where he studied with Professors Edmond Couchot, Christine Buci-Glucksmann, Michel Bret, and other eminent pioneers in the digital and interactive art fields. His current research and practice incorporate the use of virtual reality systems and their artistic implements, 3D game design and development, and dynamic interactivity for online and offline 3D virtual environments.
