Safety Tips

  • If driving, drive safely, respect speed limits and traffic laws and get sufficient rest. Always lock your vehicle.
  • Stay in well-known hotels. Lock your hotel/motel room. Don’t explore remote areas. Well-populated districts are safest.
  • Confirm reservations before leaving town. Let someone know how and where to reach you.
  • If you choose to drink, do so in moderation and do not operate a vehicle.
  • Do not set a drink down where something could be placed in it, and do not accept drinks from others.
  • Protect your property; do not openly exhibit large amounts of cash.
  • If you feel you are in an unsafe situation, leave.
